Donald Dinnie Day, The Gathering was first held on Sunday 6th August 2017. It was created to give all Dinnie Stone lifters from down through the years a chance to meet each other and swap stories about their adentures in taking on this magnificent challenge. Heading into its 7th year on Sunday 6th August 2023, the day now incorporates the Donald Dinnie Games as well as new attempts at the Dinnie Stones. We are also very excited t announce the very first Jan Todd Games this year for the ladies named after the first lady to lift the Dinnie Steens. All athletes commpeting in the Donald Dinnie Games and the Jan Todd Games will have lifted the Dinnie Stones before as this is the main qualifying criteria. The historic Inver Stone has also made several appearances over the years. The games feature all natural stone events to test the strongest of athletes and the field would not look out of place in the 1300s in William Wallace's time as no modern implements are used.
